SUNDAY 4….26TH SEPTEMBER

LET THE WORD OF GOD RICHLY DWELL IN YOU

The word of God as entitled above was delivered by Rev Frank Ato Odoom. Main text taken from I John 1:10 which reads: He was in the world, and though the world was made through Him, the world did not recognize Him

One will ask the reason why we are in this world. Well, it entails a lot, but the most important point is to serve the almighty our maker. Why? Because, the riches, properties, wife, family and the like we struggle and fight for are left behind when one dies. After death what follows, Judgement! So if you do not recognize your maker and serve Him, what account are you going to give during the Judgement Day or what are you going to base on?

He created the World, it was through Him that the world was created, but the world does not recognize or know Him.

Do not worry if you have Backslide or sin as against Him. Recognize Him and pray this prayer that David prayed when He sinned and came back to his senses and the Judgement he will face in Psalm 51:10 – 13. When the word of God is richly in you, you will feel it hard when you sin or go wrong. David once asked the greatest or joyous gift from God when he recognized his sin and that gift is the prayer of Repentance. In his prayer in Psalm 51:10 – 13, he asked for Four (4) things; 1. Joy 2. Restoration. 3. A willing Spirit. 4. A pure heart and God’s presence.

Let the word of God richly dwell in you. It will guide and protect you, feed you, strengthen you, open your eyes to see heavenly things, and draw God nearer to you. It will prompt you when you are going wrong, study it, meditate it and recognize your maker (GOD).

May the Word of the Lord do as it says in your Life when you allow it to dwell richly in you. May the Lord bless you?Supported Texts: John 1:5 – 10, Psalm 37:13, I Samuel 2:2 and Habakkuk 3:18.

SUNDAY 2......12TH SEPTEMBER

THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD ENTERED ME

This week's sunday Sermon was delivered by Rev. Frank Ato Odoom. He took his main text from the Book of Ezekiel 2:2....As He spoke, the spirirt came into me and raised me to my feet, and I heard him speaking to me.

Supported by Act 2:39, Act 2:36 and Matthew 3:11.

The spirit of the Lord must come to us. But before that; there is a Foundation built for us to follow. If we follow this foundation, and in the way of the Lord, the spirit of the living God will enter or come into us to help, direct and teach us in life. This foundation Jesus laid for us all. The Apostles followed it and were successful and strong in the Lord. It must continue with us until the coming of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. This foundation has been divided into three(3) parts. It must be followed before one can call himself a Christian or Holy.

1...REPENTANCE....By changing our mind and turning away from our sinful nature and the world in addition to confession, Repentance is achieved.

2...BAPTISM.... We have to die and resurrect with Christ Jesus in order to be like him. Thus Baptism. Through Baptism, we have washed and cleansed our sinful body. And the correct Baptising is the Immersion.

3...RECEIVING THE HOLY SPIRIT.... Here is where we are basing on today. After the two steps above, we have to prepare and receive the Holy Spirit who will direct, help, guide and teach us what to do and the time we should do it.

REMEMBER: These steps must be followed accordingly. May the Lord Richly bless and keep you. AMEN.

 

 

SUNDAY 3… 19TH SEPTEMBER

GOD STILL SUPPLIES THE NEEDS OF HIS PEOPLE

From Pastor Daniel Omare of Apostolic Church, Konogo Branch, the message of God is delivered unto us. Matthew 6:11 being the main text reads: Give us today our daily bread. He used Elijah as an example in IKings 17:1-6 which is summarized that even when Elijah was hidden at a place where there was no food or water, the Lord sent the Raven to give Bread and Meat to Elijah.

Just think about this! Imaging if it is in our world today, how many people will try very hard to stone the Raven in order to get the food and meat? On the side of Elijah, the raven made no mistake; it delivered the bread and meat at the right time and quantity.

If the Lord has done this for Elijah, how much more you? He will do exceedingly beyond your imagination. Your enemies and even your neighbors will try to stop it but remember that whatever the Lord sayeth about come to pass and will surely come to pass. Take your Christianity very serious and remember that GOD STILL SUPPLIES THE NEEDS OF HIS PEOPLE. God bless Pastor Daniel and bless you also AMEN.

SUNDAY.1...5TH SEPTEMBER

BE ZEARIOUS

A message of God from Rev. Frank Ato Odoom. Main text taken from Rev. 3:19b...So be zearious(earnest) and Repent. Repentance means Change of Mind. A change of mind for the better but not just changing decision. Repentance leads to Salvation. Remember that Salvation is Free but not easy or cheap. It is opened to all who want change of mind for the better, therefore difficult to be attained on the side of Unbelievers of the Unjusts. WHAT MUST U DO TO REPENT: 1) Have a change of mind inorder to repent, because if you do not change your mind to follow God, repentance cannot be attained or achieved.

2) Without repentance, you will never understand the Words and the Princples of God. You will read the Bible and will never get the real meaning of the words in it. That is to say; it is the duty of the Holy Spirit to explain whatever we do not understand, there fore we have to receive the Holy Spirit for this understanding. And to receive the Holy Spirit; three steps must you follow. These steps are known as steps of Salvation.

1) Repent..........Have Change of Mind.

2) Be Baptised.....Die and Resurrect with Christ Jesus.

3) Holy Spirit Intervention......Receive the Holy Spirit now who will direct and help you in all your ways.

4TH SUNDAY…22ND AUGUST

DIVINE ORDER

Ministered by the host Pastor Rev. Frank Ato Odoom. God has His own way of doing things and set principles and orders which when one try to disobey, leads him to suffer the wrath of God or die instantly. Let me draw your mind to the old Testament. The Levites used to carry the Covenant Box of God on their shoulder. Remember, the Covenant Box was meant for the High Priest only to carry and whoever tries to touch it suffers the punishment of God. During David’s Kingdom, they decided to carry it on wheel and truck. But God placed the ORDER that it should be carried on shoulder of only the High Priest. When David was moving the covenant on truck and they were singing and dancing, the Covenant Box was falling down, one man tired to save it by holding it and he lost his life for that attempt.

Key text from 1Cor. 14:40……But everything should be done in a fitting and orderly way. Just as what happened to this many when you try to disorganize the order of God, you will surely suffer. (II Samuel 23:5 and Isaiah 9:6 – 7).

Compare to Marriage (Gen. 2:21), God caused Adam to sleep and took part of his bones to create Eve. This means that marriage is not full of flesh only but also bones. The bones are chewed gradually until satisfaction is reached. The bones in marriage indicates the obstacles in marriage. That when you get the patience and endure until the obstacles are off, you shall surely eat the flesh. (the sweetest part of it).

If we want to be believers of the almighty God, we ought to repent (Act 2: 38), be Baptise (Matt. 6:3-4) and be filled with the Holy Ghost or Spirit (Act 2:47).

And also whatever principal and orders that the Lord has made or set, Let no man disorganize or do it in his own mind, for the Bible says, "don’t be wise in your own eyes.". Amen

 

 

3RD SUNDAY…15TH AUGUST

HOW TO BECOME A COMMITTED AND A DEVOTED MEMBER OF A CHURCH.

The word of God ministered by the head pastor of the church, Rev. Frank Ato Odoom. When we talk of commitment and devotion, we mean putting all your body and soul in something, but specifically here; the work of God and the church. Key text taken from The gospel according to Act 2:42 – 47…They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the Apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. Everyday they continued to meet together with glad and sincere hearts praising God and enjoying the favour of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

WE HAVE THREE (3) TYPES OF CHURCH MEMBERS

DEAR CHURCH MEMBERS – These are members who always run away from their Pastor(s). They do not want to get close to their Pastor, when service session is ended. They quickly go away not even sharing smile or handshake with other members.GOAT CHURCH MEMBERS – They are those who do not take any instruction. When they are prompted, they go away from the church They do not take any part in church activities.SHEEP CHURCH MEMBERS - Sheep church members are Humble, submissive, committed, devoted, participative and instructive etc. to God and the church. They are at peace with everyone – I Timothy 6: 17.

TO BE A SHEEP CHURCH MEMBER; - You must be and do the above plus enjoying everything about your church.. For example; if your Pastor(s) is / are not all that good in preaching, enjoy it because that’s all you have. If your Ushers or Singers are not good to your satisfaction that’s all you have, therefore enjoy because God created everything good and blessed it.

 

2ND SUNDAY 8TH AUGUST.

THREE THINGS YOU MUST ALWAYS REMEMBER.

A message ministered by……………………………………… His main text was taken from the second book of Moses; Exodus 32:1..When the people saw that Moses was so long in coming down from the mountain, they gathered round Aaron and said, "come, make us gods who will go before us. As for this fellow Moses who brought us up out of Egypt, we do not know what has happened to him. Moses was at that time gone to mount Sinai for the commandment of the Lord. Being kept long there, the Israelites forgot about three main things: 1) Their God 2) Their friend-Moses and 3) Their background-Slavery. They therefore started doing things on their own, not even good things, worshipping an Idol, very dangerous.

1. They have forgotten the Lord their God who brought them out of Egypt from bondage, who supplied food in the form of Manner from the Heavens unlimitedly.

2. They have also forgotten their Senior friend Moses whom through him they were saved – John 15:13-15..Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends if you do what I command you. I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his Master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my father I have made known to you.

3. They have forgotten their background. Where they were, What they went through and where they are now.

My Brethren, remember all these three(3) things. The God who had guided, and protected and taken care of you all these years of your life. Your friend(s) who had also helped you put your dreams into action and proceeded in future. And also, where and how you started your life; poor or rich. Think about these three things and live wisely.

 

1ST SUNDAY 1ST AUGUST

FLOURISH LIKE A PALM TREE AND BEAR FRUIT

FLOURISHING LIKE A PALM TREE:

This Gospel message was delivered by Pastor Chris of Nigeria. The message talks about our physical and spiritual aspect of life but in the lifestyle of a Palm Tree. The main text was taken from the book of David; Psalm 92:12 – 14 which reads: The righteous will flourish like a Palm tree, they will grow like a Cedar of Lebanon;13) planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the court of our God. 14)They will still bear fruit in their old age, they will stay fresh and green. Calling ourselves or wanting to be righteous, we must live our lives like that of the Palm tree as the word of God talks about, and we see it daily. Every part of the Palm tree is very useful and important, not even a single part is a waste. Examine the parts of a Palm tree, the fruit, seed, shell, frunds,branches, stem, kernel and even the rotten stem. All parts are very useful and important. That is how God expects every righteous person to be. Every part of our body; both Physical and Spiritual must be solely dedicated to the Lord. For the scripture says in Jeremiah17:8 and Psalm 1:3, the righteous will be like a tree planted by the river side.BEARING FRUIT:

The Bible says in Matthew 7:17 – 18 & 20 that by their fruit, you shall know them and no good tree bears bad fruits likewise, no bad tree bears good fruit. Therefore no one can be a tree (righteous) and bear bad fruit (undedicated, bad attitude, lazy etc.). So if you think you are righteous, check yourself well if you are bearing the fruit of the spirit (Galatians 5:22-23)
